I am a visual artist working in a range of mediums. My work focuses on instinctual, gestural making and mark making and the relationship between surface and medium.

My ceramic practice is focused on exploring the sculptural and natural forms found in science fiction films and television of the 1950s and 60s.

I use the art and sets of science fiction as a starting point for making ceramic forms which both echo and expand on the language used at the time.

My painting technique has developed a conceptual slant, using self-imposed rules to create a basis for my work.

I am increasingly interested in the possibilities of the use of materials other than canvas as a surface for painting, physical materials for mark making and the symbiosis between sculpture and painting.
